Mr Michael Spark

Clinical Psychologist

Michael has experience treating a wide range of psychological disorders with children, adolescents, adults and aged individuals. His psychological work history includes University Counsellor, Geriatric Psychologist, and Child Disability Psychologist. Additionally, he has worked as a research-assistant investigating mental health in the mining industry, providing training, presentations and interventions across Australia.

His own research has focused on father-child interactions and enhancing fluid intelligence; which has also been presented at various world conferences and symposiums. Michael has an extensive work history as a carer in residential youth work and disability care.

Background & Training

Michael’s volunteer work over the past decade has included engaging in outreach programs to Indigenous communities across the Northern Territory, managing 25 teams of volunteers in twelve areas across South Australia, and various Youth programs across Western Australia. Additionally, he currently acts as the junior track manager at his local motocross club. His personal interests include motocross, rock climbing, and freediving with his children.

  • Personality Disorders (including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy approaches for Borderline Personality Disorder)
